I stopped here for fuel. This airport has everything that you need. Friendly people, good FBO, great front desk staff. The fuel farm has one of those unbelievably loud pumps so don't park too close to the self-serve.

I landed at 54J to complete a project. Upon arrival, I developed an alternator problem and as luck would have it, there was a mechanic on the field. The guys at Eagle Aviation Maintenance were VERY helpful and got me back in the air the next day. The bad side of the trip was that I had to stay overnight. The Holiday Inn was a good choice but there was no rental car service from the FBO (at least none documented), no cabs, Uber or Lyft services either. Justin at Eagle was nice enough to drop me off and pick me up. Getting around was the most difficult part of the trip and the folks at the FBO were helpful.
