Great experience and friendly people. I had some business to take care of at Middle Georgia University Aviation department for a few hours. They loaned me a car and even pumped the fuel in the Mooney Acclaim for me at the self-serve fuel pump. The controllers were inside the FBO, and I got to chat with them for a little bit. Will definitely return. I arrived at 11:30am and I was the only plane in the area, however it was lunchtime at the flight school, so it was a good time to arrive. I was told that the pattern gets super busy when outside of lunchtime and the worse case scenario for the controllers is that you fly in IFR, are cleared for the visual, contact tower and sometimes JAX Center doesn't alert the tower of the arrival and then the tower has to sequence you in between planes that are doing 70-80 knots and it's difficult for them. Will be back.
