Thunderbird Aviation has been a fixture at Flying Cloud Airport for over 60 years. Our current Executive Terminal opened in 2012 and was designed specifically to enhance the travel experience for both passengers and flight crews, providing a truly first-class gateway into the Twin Cities.
Our FBO facility was designed with safety and security top-of-mind to ensure absolute privacy for our customers. With the rise of COVID-19, our separate foyers, sliding doors, and touch-less remote access systems allow customers a seamless entry and exit in a controlled environment.
Our award-winning FBO provides the best in private aviation services and amenities, including passenger and pilot lounges, a full-service catering kitchen, pilot sleep room, dedicated flight planning area, and an upscale conference room with stunning views of the airport. The facility has a dedicated concierge desk that can handle any request, from in-flight catering to ground transportation and hotel accommodations. Our FBO experience is truly unique for flight crews, with our famous popcorn, ice cream, wine promotions, bottled water, and seasonal amenities. Thunderbird Aviation's facility is ideally situated in the middle of the airfield and includes a seamless passenger transition to and from the aircraft ramp in all weather conditions.

I flew to Thunderbird yesterday and had a fantastic experience. As soon as I pulled into the ramp I was marshaled where to go and as soon as I went inside I was offered a courtesy car. Everyone I interacted with was very friendly and cheerful. When I returned my plane had been fueled up and ready to go.
