The people at Gulf Air Center are very friendly and professional. Courtesy car was modern and clean. The fuel price was reasonable.

Came into Gulf Shores to fuel up prior to getting into weather in Louisiana for a quick turn. Fuel prices reasonable with CAA and the staff was very friendly and even the temporary lobby was nice. Looks like they are doing some renovation in the main building.

Was very concerned given all the other horror stories and the lack of competition, but went in with an open mind and was pleasantly surprised by the service we received for our PA-32. Line and customer service (Julie) were all very helpful. And while the prices are commensurate with the current flying times, they did not gouge me on added fees so it lessened the sting. They recommended 4-Lane Rental cars and I would too, great car and service and price (half of Hertz/Enterprise which more than covered the FBO fees). Also, it is so much better now that KJKA is Class D, ATC was great in and out.

The sole FBO on the field charges a $40/night fee to park on the ramp. It is not subject to a waiver with fuel purchase. This information is not on AirNav.Com but it should be clearly expressed for those researching where to land.

Stopped over for fuel and lunch on our way home to the Loner Star State. Staff was courteous, crew car was available but fuel prices nearly double a nearby self serve uncontrolled airport I normally use. Ugh. I recommend a self-serve pump be installed with competitive prices to attract more GA rather than corporate jets and turboprops but maybe that's what they want? Otherwise OK...

Recently visited, nice experience. Friendly and helpful staff. I had asked them to tow my plane up closer to the building for our early morning departure, which they did not do, but otherwise rental was ready and waiting and got me fueled for departure.

We landed and taxied our little Piper Arrow to the ramp, arriving immediately after a Citation jet. We were marshaled in and parked for fuel. The line crew gave us the same red carpet treatment (literally) as they provided for the jet. Everybody we met was friendly and welcoming. They let us take one of their crew cars (a clean SUV) so we could grab some lunch. I chose this airport because of other reviews here on AirNav, and I'm glad I did. This will be a regular fuel stop for us whenever we visit the Gulf Shore.

Some aviation Apps are still showing Salt Air's location on the airport. Sadly, Salt Air was bought out by Gulf Air...There is no FBO competition on the airport. The former Salt Air location appears to be vacant, so don't bother taxiing there. Gulf Air charges $10, or 10 gallons just to stop for lunch.

We've stopped in many dozens of times over the years, for quick-lunch or for a few days, and recently a quick-lunch x-c pitstop turned into an extended stay when a minor maintenance issue turned into a big delay. GAC went above & beyond the call in helping us, rental car & overnight stay & steering us to outstanding A&P assistance! Top-notch as always, many thanks!!
