I had flown into X51 a number of times in the last 10+ years. The first several times was in my Malibu and the last couple of times in my Jetprop. The Jetptop is a Piper Malibu converted (by STC) to a turbine. I did that because the car rental and the parking were far cheaper than Ocean Reef where I have a condo. This time I asked for a full size car and when I arrived there was a Minivan. The daily rate was over $30 more per day than the Enterprise website for the same vehicle and that was with my Enterprise Plus number. Parking was MUCH cheaper last time I was there and now was $60/night Parking for my aircraft at the exclusive Ocean Reef Club is $37/night and fuel is cheaper. With these prices HEJC is going to lose traffic to Ocean Reef.
